LIBRARY ACTIVITIES
1.      Ramkrishna Paramhansa Library Best User Award
Ramkrishna Paramhansa Mahavidyalaya Library started ‘Ramkrishna Paramhansa Library Best User Award’ for Junior, Senior & PG Students. With the help of SLIM21 – System for Library Information and Management Software, each academic year from 1st July to 31st January books transactions reports are utilized for selection. The objective of this activity is that to improve reading habits of students.
2.      E-Library
The Project entitled "National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST)", being jointly executed by the UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium, INFLIBNET Centre and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, IIT Delhi provides for i) cross-subscription to e-resources subscribed by the two Consortia, i.e. subscription to INDEST-AICTE resources for universities and UGCINFONET resources for technical institutions; and ii) access to selected e-resources to colleges. The N-LIST project provides access to e-resources to students, researchers and faculty from colleges and other beneficiary institutions through server(s) installed at the INFLIBNET Centre. The authorized users from colleges can now access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher's website once they are duly authenticated as authorized users through servers deployed at the INFLIBNET Centre.
Under N-LIST Programme, we will have access for the e-resources (6,000 + ejournals and 31,35,000+ ebooks).
In E-Library 5 desktop computers, 2 printers & internet facility is available.
3.      Know Your College Library (KYCL)
KYCL is a User Orientation Programme prepared by Librarian through PPT. KYCL helps new comers to know about library rules, library staff, library committee, circulation time table, books, periodicals, newspapers, N-LIST Programme, OPAC facility, different types of library services, What is Call Number?, etc

4.      Enrich Your Vocabulary
Enrich your vocabulary activity helps students to enrich their vocabulary. Every day selected two English words are written with their Marathi and Hindi meaning. These words written board is kept in front of Main Gate.


5.      OPAC
Online Line Public Catalogue (OPAC) is a facility of search of books available or not available in library by author, title of the book, subject, classification number, publisher and keywords. OPAC facility is available in SLIM21 Library Software. For OPAC Touch Screen Monitor is kept in library.
6.      GEE
Graduate Excellence Examination (GEE) is an activity of College to promote students for competitive examination. Library is issuing separate one competitive book for GEE students.

7.      Book Bank Facility
Library is issuing separate book bank facility to each faculty class wise 2 meritorious Senior Students.
8.      Reading Room
Reading room facility is available in library at 2nd Floor. There is separate seating arrangement for 75 boys and 75 girls. Time of reading room is from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. CCTV is installed in reading room.
9.      Reprography Service
In library zerox machine is available.

10.  Book Review Competition
Book Review Competition helps students to read the book for the purpose of writing of that read book in their own words. This helps to know that students throughout reading.
11.  Newspaper Clippings
In Library College related newspaper clippings are kept. Library stated separate selected five topics newspapers clippings. For these purpose, three viz. Loksatta, Maharashtra Times & Sakal papers are selected. Five newspapers clippings topics are as follows:
a.       Higher Education
b.      Science and Technology
c.       Women’s Oppression and Empowerment
d.      Farmers Suicide
e.       Crime

12.  Soft copy information to staff
Library is sending soft copy information i. e. college news newspapers clippings, library notice and circulars, useful information to staff members to their email and selected HOD Whatsapp Numbers.
13.  Preparation of College Identity Card
Library is preparing College Identity Card cum Borrowers Ticket. Barcode facility is using for issuing books to library all types of users.
14.  Earn while learn scheme
Library is started Earn and learn scheme i. e. Late Vasantrao Kale Swabhiman Shikshan Yojana which is 50% funded by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Applications are collected from interested students and with the help of Students Welfare Committee students are selected.
15.  External Membership

External Membership is available for interested users. Two books are allowed to external members. Deposit and book bank fee is collected from these members.
